I found this idea at Grandma Rosie's Texas Home
This Easter season, we baked tiny little egg shaped cakes in empty eggshells. I had a white cake mix, so I divided the batter into 4 bowls and colored the batter blue, purple, green, and yellow. I set 17 egg shells in a round cake pan. Then, we layered the different colors of batter into the eggshells, filling them 1/2 way. I baked them at 350* for 30 minutes. I didn't have my camera at home, so I couldn't take a picture. They sure were beautiful. The colors swirled together as the cake batter raised and baked. My kids decided that they want to do this again next year. Maybe it will become a tradition. Thanks for the idea Grandma Rosie.
